    Visit the Castle ‘Schloss Burg’

The following image is a HDR made with Lightroom mobile. This piece is a model of the castle made out of bronze. It’s made for blind people so they can read the braille and can touch the model.

    Breakfast over

Thanks JillyG, I find especially RAW images have a more 'natural' look because no automatic image processing has taken place. This involves aggressive sharpening, denoising and strong micro-contrasts. These can destroy the soft transitions between shadows and highlights, making them looking...

    Visit the Castle ‘Schloss Burg’

Thank you Mobipeeps. :) This castle isn’t very big but has some nice details here and there. I am looking forward taking more images there.

    Landmark

I remember I showed this little building some time ago. These new images were shot in RAW with Halide and edited in Darkroom. RAW images are kinda softer, not these harsh micro contrasts you typically have in out-of-camera JPGs. And you have finer details because of no noise reduction applied...

Why switching gear really doesn't matter

You see, this is why we Germans call a cell phone a “Handy”.

    Wakeup call for privacy

Any free social media platform is prone to see you or your "data" as a product to make money rather than a person with certain rights. The problem is, this probably also applies to platforms you have to pay for. No, not every free platform is evil nor every paid one. But how can you really tell...

Why switching gear really doesn't matter

FundyBrian, Brian, these are very kind words and I appreciate your work too. Thank you, Brian. I am a more technically interested person, curious, to look behind the things. I am not very often on MobiTog, which is a shame. This might be because I have not many images to share. My 365 project...

Why switching gear really doesn't matter

Two photographers are facing the same sunset standing side by side. One uses cheap cellphone A the other expensive cellphone B. They take the same image. They choose the same framing and composition. Who is the better photographer? There are might be differences in the images like sharpness or...

Why switching gear really doesn't matter

As I understand the topic of the video, it's about people thinking only gear is responsible for good images. But only the photographer is. The photographer has to have an image in his/her mind and use whatever gear is at hand to make this image come to life. If you need a tele lens to get "your"...

Why switching gear really doesn't matter

I don't see it this way. It's a phone with a camera. I have no doubt that there are other phones with better cameras. For me it's a phone in the first place, a really good one, nicely designed, the glass body feels good in your hands, decent display. And I like the apple ecosystem. It's just a...

    Abstract architecture

Yes, it's a larger building. Over decades they seem to have added things here and there, a new floor or changed something on the roof. Would be nice to be able to scout around the building but all is hidden behind a fence. I like those old industry buildings a lot.
