Look at Pinterest? You see, yes, RESEARCH. I did, I did. But I look at most of the entries here and I totally can’t see the juxtaposition.
Juxtaposition highlights sameness and/or difference.
Two images, paired in a way that draws attention to either the similarities or the differences of the images. The same tree in opposite seasons, two halves of a married couple, two moments in time, same palette different picture. An image and a poem. Landscape, architecture, portraits. . .
But I look at most of the entries here and I totally can’t see the juxtaposition.
Getting a juxtaposition is one thing but then making an abstract that remains clear is another.
Open a picture in Snapseed, use expand (white or black) repeatedly on one side only until the picture is twice the width. Use double exposure to add your second image......Well unless someone tells me there is an android dipstick maker I'm stuffed anyway
Doh! 10 minutes too late!!!!Turns out you can make a dyptych in one of our old faves Pixlr at no cost
So do I.Look at Pinterest? You see, yes, RESEARCH. I did, I did. But I look at most of the entries here and I totally can’t see the juxtaposition.
So tell me JillyG , how is a book on medicine and medicine bottles in contrast? I see that as similar.
If you’ve watched Good Omens they’re each a mixture of both. Good one John.View attachment 150194

Inspired by some of the images I saw on Pinterest, I put the image together in Diptic, then took it into iColorama and masked off the colour one and worked on the male side.
If it helps I think the abstract side is not so important this time, that's the way I read it i.e. the image could be a straight photo coupled with another straight photo that may create an abstract image in itself.Getting a juxtaposition is one thing but then making an abstract that remains clear is another.
Thank you.Clever and kind of strange, I like it.

Fun facts:
LBJ Was Obsessed With His Dick
One imagines that the mind of the president is constantly occupied by the fate of the free world. This probably explains, for instance, why George W. Bush could barely read. Lyndon B. Johnson, though, was not your average president, for various reasons, but quite prominently that he was very...gawker.com
