Contour Line Drawing

Recently a few of us have been working on blind contour drawing. It’s relaxing (at least to me) and fun. If you feel like shaking things up a little or if you already have tried it, post your creations here!
From Wikipedia, “ The student fixes their eyes on the outline of the model or object, then tracks the edge of the object with their eyes, while simultaneously drawing the contour very slowly, in a steady, continuous line without lifting the pencil or looking at the paper. Blind contour drawingtrains the eye and hand to work as a team, and it helps students to see all of the details of the object.”

Have you ever tried “blind contour” drawrings. A lot of fun

I had to wait til school resumed to get this website. It’s a blind contour drawing practice. You can choose what you want to draw (faces, bodies, animals) expressions then set a time for each image (30 seconds,etc) ad draw.

Fantastic results. I often done the one where you don’t lift your pencil and then I usually run them through apps and get my best results. Will have to have a go....

This was a pure accident. I was doing one of those faces where you don’t lift the pen from the page in Procreate and my DH interrupted me and I kept the pen down and when I looked back it had changed the shape to lines. I added a couple more but not many, then coloured it.
