First trip to Horncastle…..lovely walk along the Canal then the Spa Trail which was the old railway line from Horncastle to Woodhall Spa.

February 10th…..41/365……Continuing our stroll in the Lincolnshire Countryside…..Horncastle.

February 13th…..44/365…..With RAF Woodhall Spa nearby, there are many remnants of 2nd World War Bomb Dumps and associated Buildings In these woods.

February 20th…..51/365…….Redmile station on the Melton to Bottesford line, closed in the 60’s……There was a platform and building specifically built for the Duke of Rutland’s use, so special guests and Royalty had their own area for waiting before heading off up to nearby Belvoir Castle.

So lovely And your dog is watching the ducks with great interest And the blue sky makes me jealous. The wind doesn’t get through the image so to me it looks like heaven compared to what we have here today

It looks really pleasant Eva, but it was 2 steps forward and 3 steps back trying to navigate the storm……It took the ducks 3 attempts to take off.

February 23rd…..54/365…….Today’s stroll took in the Nottinghamshire end of the Grantham Canal….Much of this stretch is not in water and needs quite a bit of work before the whole canal can be fully restored.
