Beautiful picsDay 7/365
Our first real snow day of the year. It’s always a nice time to take a walk in the woods. Today I had a nice muted, serene pallet of pinks and blues, especially in the water reflections.

Of the six or seven people we passed on our walk, two were DSLR photographers with large zoom lenses attached. Here is one on his way to the lookout/observation tower.

The steps up to the tower pass markers for previous flood levels. The highest one, from the 1936 flood, is probably about 12 feet above the base of the column, and the base of the column is about another 15 to 18 feet above the current water level. It’s hard to imagine water at this level. The slope from the base of the column to the river’s edge is totally flattened out in this two dimensional picture.

All the bare pointed trunks belong to dead trees. Here’s a springtime photo of the same trees.Beautiful picsBut now it’s my turn to feel confused about YOUR trees - what’s happened to them? Looks as if the tops have been chopped

Waffles!!!!! Yum!Today was cold and windy with an icy rain and icy glaze on surfaces. Not for going out. The high point of my day was breakfast.

Mostly Procreate with help from Moment slow shutter, SuperimposeX, and iColorama
I did paint the background. Not with any intention. But I thought it looked desert-y and I had the slow shutter pic of the “snake. Voila!Did you paint the background?? Nice job!

I use Infinite Painter just about as much as I use Procreate. I like the brushes better. They seem more real. Also, there is a clone tool that allows you to paint from one layer to another. Downside, non-intuitive interface, harder to create brushes, crashes at critical moments…….I did paint the background. Not with any intention. Last time I created any art work was probably in elementary school. Which is to say I have no idea what re brushes are like, but I think I have downloaded infinite painter and I’ll take another look at it. I have enough trouble learning one arty app.I use Infinite Painter just about as much as I use Procreate. I like the brushes better. They seem more real. I pretty sure it was this guy that inspired me to try Infinite Painter.Last time I created any art work was probably in elementary school.
