I apologize for the blurry photos. I saw this little thing wriggling on a flower petal, but there was a persistent gentle breeze that was moving the flower.

Per Google Photos this is a wavy lined emerald aka camouflaged looper, a caterpillar that glues to itself pieces of chewed off petals.

When we were kids our bikes had fenders. If you look at Max’s back you can see a stripe up his back where the rear wheel sprayed him with water. Nice for a hot day.
Lotta stripes in my yard. Exactly when did they stop putting fenders on bikes. Even my spider bike had a fender.

How did you even spot it?
 
When we were kids our bikes had fenders. If you look at Max’s back you can see a stripe up his back where the rear wheel sprayed him with water. Nice for a hot day.
I took the fenders off one of my bikes as a kid but put them back on after getting splashed like that a few times. And one bike I modified to have a half fender on the rear because I thought it looked cool. (Memory is dim, but "I" here probably means "my dad.")
