Today I spent most of the day in the car, driving from North Hampton to Cleveland, which takes us right past Star’s patch. Thanks to inspiration from John and Jilly I took a picture of a tree at a rest stop.

It is the left-hand window of the two you see up in Day15. They are on the third floor of the house, and none of the other windows in the house had anything like this. The right hand window was just coated with granular ice.
In a way they are kind of similar to your northern lights, beautiful and transient.Thanks. I just showed them to DH. Many oooohs and aaaahs
