In for it!
I see people using smilies that are not on the text editor's list so what emojis are available to use on site?
It depends if you're using the app or a web browser.I see people using smilies that are not on the text editor's list so what emojis are available to use on site?
[emoji15] So are emojis client or server side technology or more like fonts and both sides need to be able to support it? And why do your ios emojis work on my phone but I can't replicate them with the code [emoji1369]…? I'm not expecting an answer, just nerding out loud.It depends if you're using the app or a web browser.
If you're in the app almost all the emojis in your keypad work (via iPhone, I can't speak to other platforms.) Although some of the new iOS emojis DON'T show, like the new barf and drool faces. Bummer. [emoji848]
If you're using a web browser only the MobiTog emojis work (they can be found inside the editing bar when you're typing a post.) If you're on the web and insert an emoji from your keypad, once you post your comment they just disappear... poof. [emoji15]
Also, if you insert MobiTog emojis via a web browser, then go into the app to view your post, for many of the emojis you won't see the actual emoji, just its *code*. For example (look at these inside the app):
Now go over to a web browser and you'll see the faces. [emoji1369]
Interesting. That lists the the unicode for every emoji (http://emojipedia.org/emoji/) but I'm having a hard time tracking down a reference for the BBcode for them - the code that goes between square brackets: [some code here]
an emoji reference here in the forum would be largely redundant.
