Sorry for the lack of photos, but here is this month’s Hipstapak. It looks to be a companion to last summer’s Little Five Points Hipstapak. Both set in Atlanta, and both featuring a “Poncey” film with the “first photo on the film roll” edge burn.


Edgewood Hipstapak - “Back to Atlanta”

Is it possible to get a colour light leak on a b/w film anyway? Like the grainy b/w but the light leak I could do without tbh.

Turning off the frame gets rid of the leak - shaking (with frame on) changes the leak size and hints of color.

I like these images a lot. I could do without the burn, but ‘what Kevin said’ about the retro BW.

I'm not a Hipsta user, but I do like the look of this b/w in Leslie's hotel and gas pump shots. I might have to load up Hipsta again.

I really like the touch of pink that leaked into this one. I'm hoping I can get out and do a bit of shooting with this combo this weekend.

Not sure what the repetitive light leak brings to the images. The tone of the image is quite nice though.

Now I think it actually works quite well on the telescope pointing at the Opera House one, you can imagine its the last image squeezed from a roll of film.

Not sure if you can turn them off, I would rather like the bnw as a stand alone

Yes, you can turn it off. It's a frame and you can remove it by "editing from original" and turning off the frame. Here is a picture I took on Friday at Boeing Field in Renton WA. The Cedar River empties into the south end of Lake Washington with the Boeing Plant on the east side and Renton Field on the west side. There is a small but apparently very sturdy bridge that spans the river so aircraft can move between the two.

These are all the same photo. Original, Hipstamatic with Edgewood pack, and Hipstamatic with Edgewood pack and frame turned off.
