Removing the frame is simple. Go into edit mode, select a film, then toggle off that rectangular icon on the bottom right, next to the search icon.
On some films removing the frame isn’t an option, so in that case you won’t see that little icon.

I was messing with HIpsta and couldn’t remember how to get rid of the frame, so I googled it. This was the top hit!!! Just saying we’re out there.
