I save most of my edited stuff to Dropbox. When I bring an Hipstamatic edited image back to the Camera Roll and take it for further editing in Hipstamatic, the combo used is not displayed anymore:

Is there any means for retrieving the information about the used combo ?

I use an app in ios called ViewExif. It is able to display all kinds of information from images. For example, it displays the Hipstamatic camera model, and Software, i.e. Lens, film and Flash. Hope this is of help to you :)

Exif tools are the good, standard way, but in your case you only need to tap on the small i in the circle (see your screenshot) and Hipstamatic will show you the lens and film. Interestingly, not in the same way as if the photo would not be copied from dropbox. There must be some other data stored into the image which was lost.
