ImageArt’s Project 365 - 2022

Looks like the puncture worked in your favour - just in time for a golden hour! Quiver Tree shot is amazing.
Thanks. We only had 15 minutes of light. I could have done with a lot more time. So much potential. I wasted a bit of time doing some panos which didn’t work that great. I had other good pics that I might have to enter in a comp.

We have a couple of days in Penzance so hope to get some picturesque shots from that area. Any suggestions?
Well you have St Michaels Mount, which is always a good spot for photos, Mousehole for the postcard harbour shots, Lizard itself for the wild south coast and plenty of scope nearby for prehistoric monuments, ruined tin mines, sweeping rugged moors and bird thronged cliffs. Incidentally, you'll be in sunny Cornwall, not Devon! Don't want to upset the locals! Sinnejohn was in this neck of the woods recently, so I'm sure he will have some hands on suggestions too. Penzance itself is a bit bland and metropolitan, but the villages nearby are much more picturesque.

Of course! Why did I say Devon? Clearly my brain is still on holiday in SA!

Rushed out this morning because of the mist and forgot to take my membership card so ended up having to pay for parking because I didn’t want to miss the mist! Was worth it. Sacrificed a cup of coffee and had it at home.

The Long Walk, Windsor Great Park

Today’s walk with our friends was in Windsor Great Park. You can see Windsor Castle where the Queen now lives at the end of the Long Walk.

There are quite a few deer in the park. These two had impressive antlers. The one of the left is a little difficult to see.

Today was the long drive to Cornwall. We stopped off at Castle Drogo, a National Trust property, because it was a good place to have a break. It’s a ’modern’ castle, having been built between 1920 and 1930. Interesting, but doesn’t quite have the appeal of a truly old Castle.

St Michael’s Mount

From St Michael’s Mount looking towards Marazion.

Today we did a hike from Penzance to St Michael’s Mount. We took a couple of wrong turns and it ended up being a 19.2km walk although I was surprised at how much we did.
