ImageArt’s Project 365 - 2022

Later we took a 9km circular walk from Zennor up the coast and back down through farmland. Stunning scenery. Some of the rocky ups and downs along the coast fairly taxing at times. AllTrails called it Easy. I would have called it Moderate.

We parked the car in Lizard and took a bus to Mullion Cove. This is the 14.5km walk down the coast back to Lizard, probably my favourite so far although the light wasn’t as good as the day before.

Terrible weather today. Almost continual rain. However, we needed a rest day so it worked well. We went into Helston but I wasn’t inspired to take any photos. So took a couple of pics around the little farm where we are staying using Bluristic followed by Oilbrush.

Tues 30 Aug

Today was the long drive to Cornwall. We stopped off at Castle Drogo, a National Trust property, because it was a good place to have a break. It’s a ’modern’ castle, having been built between 1920 and 1930. Interesting, but doesn’t quite have the appeal of a truly old Castle.

The grounds
No, but give it 500 years and people will be flocking to it. It looks substantial and sturdy.

I did some serious detouring on the way home to go to some quality hiking shops. I have been wanting to get a quality hiking backpack for a while and my current cheapie one has given me some neck problems over the past five days and I know I’m going to be hiking more next year. I wanted to try them rather than buying online and happily the hour detour to Stow-on-the-Wold proved fruitful. It’s a lovely town but so difficult to get great images without the images being spoilt by all the cars.

If I could I’d move to England.
