I wanted to nominate both this image and Ted’s ‘Surf fishing’ for the same reasons. This one by a nose for its spaciousness, light & shadow, sense of stillness & ever-so-subtle movement and absolutely perfect framing/composition.

I love the contrast, detail and really had a hard time deciding which version I liked better. Every once in a while I covet his phone, although I firmly believe it’s the photographer not the phone.

Some people have also mentioned Ukraine when seeing this photo. For the yellow/blue. Same colours as the Swedish flag by the way.
