If there’s one reason I work so much with selfies, this is it. Most people don’t like pictures of themselves because there’s too much accuracy and not enough truth. I don’t personally care - it’s easier to work with an expression if it has so little truth in it that it can be used in any way. This photo, which emphasized my cheeks because it was taken from slightly below, seems to illustrate smugness, which was far from the truth of the moment.
