We’ve discovered two more clumps of Hemlock on our walk. Not near the river, but close to those little blighters that are eating the hedge.

They have grown so quickly. Now they are about an inch and a half long.

View attachment 179804Wisteria is out everywhere now.

A chaffinch sat quite happily on the wire whilst I took a photo. I had to zoom right in to get it, so had to tidy up the edges in Procreate. The sky was really boring, so I SuperimposeX-ed it onto one of my own sky photos.
Lovely Wisteria - so graceful and beautiful. We have a native wisteria here, smaller, hardier (obviously  poor thing has to withstand bush summers) and much more purple. It‘s a vine-like and if it has nothing to climb on will just tangle itself up into a clump. The stems get strong and a bit woody but I’ve never seen them as tree-like as the English wisteria can grow.

Ooooh, I’d like one of those. It’s like a cross between a bay tree and wisteria.
