I thought it was some kind of archaeological dig - maybe something the builders had come across

The most amazing encounter on my walk home - TWO otters messing about in the little brook. I heard a really loud, high-pitched whistle, and then another a bit further away. I thought they came from birds, but then I saw movement in the river and it was an otter. I didn’t have my phone ready and it disappeared, only to reappear further down the brook with another. I know it’s a terrible photo, and you’ll just have to trust me that there are two otters there.
We’ve got two weeks of rain ahead of us, according to the weather app. And I’m on vacation... <sigh>We got your sunshine - fair enough after four weeks of hell on lat 60
So beautiful.
