Yes, indeed. My job is to interact with people from a distance and it is extremely difficult to work out whether they are smiling or grimacing at my jokes. (Very likely, the latter)
 
I’m now having to be a bit more expressive with my eyes when I’m interacting in shops. It’s so hard when we’re animals that like to read facial expressions to gauge someone’s mood etc.
I know! I hate it.
One day I was in the chiropractor’s waiting room and there was a toddler running around, and he was looking at me but I could tell he wasn’t sure about things because I had a mask on... so I took off the damn mask so I could smile at him and his whole face lit up. We smiled and waved for awhile... he was adorable.
