For those of you not a fan of, or unfamiliar with, 'Live' photos from your Apple Camera armoury...

There is a rather neat function within Live Photos for output of quick and easy Long Exposures, useful for those lovely waterfalls/moving water iMages, as well as plenty of other stuff that moves... :rog:

Example of the latter, a Pile Driver in action...

This is simply a Long Exposure taken from the following, which was photographed with Live photos switched on Live photo...

It is also possible to use the Live photo as a repeating GIF 'Loop' or a back & forth GIF 'Bounce'... :barf:

Firstly, you just have to make sure Live photos is on, using the little concentric circle button in Camera, which turns yellowy orange to indicate it is on... :rog:

Then simply take your moving waterfall/rapids/object photograph, ensuring as far as possible you keep the camera motionless for a couple of seconds either side of clicking the shutter button (actually about 1.5 seconds each side for the purists among us!)...

Once the iMage is saved you can open it either from the Camera App or Photos, then flicking it up will show the choice of selecting one of four options available - 'Live' | 'Loop' | 'Bounce' | 'Long Exposure' - with a handy little thumbnail over each to give an idea of the effect... ;)

NOTE: This lot only works in Live mode on your Camera App with iOS 11 and above... :rog:

Have fun... :D

I've tried the blur, and it works pretty well. It doesn't give you as smooth a result as something like Slow Shutter Cam can, because it can't do more than the 3 second exposure, but it doesn't require you to plan ahead either. You can shoot Live and decide later if you want a blur or a straight shot.
