Mobi365 MobiTog 365 Project - 2021 - Jan Gray’s Project

I’m with the others on bottom L version. If you would post a stand-alone version I would love to nominate it for IoTM April.

I’d also like to see BW and blended versions suggested by terse Ted and JillyG Jilly

Thanks for all the comments about the pictures on the same theme. Seems definitely that the bottom left image was the favourite. So here it isas a full size image.

28th March - Daffodils

A couple of the Daffodils from the garden. These are more delicate than the big yellow heads that are more familiar. The image on the right is of the ‘vintage’ daffodil which is an off-white colour and with very delicate frilly petals. Image processed in Snapseed and picCollage.

29th March - Snowflake Flower

These look like a larger form of Snowdrops as they come up but when the flower opens, the flower head opens completely and upwards. What I like about these flowers are the lovely orange stamens and the yellow tips to each of the petals. Image processed in Lightroom.

30th March - Acer Flower

We have a few Japanese Acer trees in the garden and one is the Aureum which has vivid yellow/green leaves, but before they begin to show, these tiny flower buds appear which are a Daffodil yellow colour, but are full of nectar as the bumblebees are often seen on them.

3rd April - Leading Lines

On a walk through the woods at Stathern that are part of the Belvoir Estate they have been felling a lot of the fir trees and replacing them with native trees to open up the woodland for wildflowers and bluebells.

5th April - Woodland

Using a selection of apps, I took this basic woodland image to create a slightly different effect highlighting the sun through the trees. Apps included icPainter and Distressed FX.
Have included the original below.

9th April - Snakeshead Fritillary

I planted loads of these in the autumn and the first few have just appeared. I love the shape and the unusual patterning on the petals. Edited in PS Express.

11th April - Belvoir Woods

As part of the Belvoir Castle Estate, these woods are being managed and many of the old fir trees are being replaced by Native deciduous trees. By doing this, the woods have opened up and there are more wild flowers including bluebells are growing.

Oh, how I wish projects like this could be done here in Sweden too

16th April - Jackdaw

Taken from the front lounge, this Jackdaw spent over 10 minutes balancing precariously on the fat ball feeder to munch his way through the food. I love their beautiful bright blue eyes and the furry grey hood. Taken and edited on iPhone.
