B&W RESULT: #162 Black & White Challenge

Puuh, I'm glad not to be first! Weird - isn't it? I don't like judging - especially in arts! :) But still I'm glad that you like my shot.
Congrats to younger Juliana & Nagaisgich Carmel - was my pleasure to be beaten by you! :) And of course my respect to all other members who took part in this round.
I with you! I prefer to get an HM or something. :lmao:

First goes to younger for her untitled photo that I think of as "The Time Tunnel," a great capture of moment and mood.

Second goes to Nagaisgich for "Three or four images" (although her "November bonfire" was also a contender for this slot). I really enjoy seeing b/w images that are constructed or assembled rather than simply recorded.

Third goes to TomHH for "Victor & Raquel," a beautiful study in monochrome tones. See the color version for an interesting demo of how colors translate to b/w.

Honorable Mentions go to RoseCat for "This is George," JillyG for "A Split in the Wood," and gwphotos73 for "Billy Idol."
A lovely bit of judging Ted, thank you. By the way, what did Phil say about the weather? Congratulations to younger Juliana - that was a wonderful image - it screams fun and enjoyment and makes me smile to look at it. Hugs to Nagaisgich Carmel with that fab composite - I agree with Ted that it‘s great to see “collages” in the Black and White Challenge too, proving that they’re not just a colour thing. High fives to TomHH Tom for third place with Victor and Raquel - a great use of the vignette to focus the eye of the beholder on that particular lock. Everyone did a great job again this week. Thank you for your support of this challenge - it would be nothing without you all. Okay, I’m off to try and catch that little toddler and escort her to the Gallery. Wish me luck!

Wow, that was not expected at all! Thanks for that terse Ted! I didn’t name it because it came out of my 366, and I was undecided wether to post it in colour or black. And congratulations to Nagaisgich and TomHH, gorgeous pics as always. And to all that posted photos too! I’ll see you all again next weekend, by the looks of it! :D
