This is the place to celebrate and showcase all of your beautiful black and white images. This is a theme-free zone so, as long as it's black and white, just about anything and everything goes!

The Rules are simple:

1) All images must be taken and edited on a mobile device: a mobile phone, tablet, iPod or iPad.

2) All images must be simply black and white and all of those lovely shades of grey. Beware grunge edits which may add colour. If I notice an image that has a hint of colour I'll let you know so that you can change it and repost. Or I can delete it and you can repost; not a problem.

3) Any app(s) can be used in the making of your image, editing is permitted, but this must be done on a mobile device (see 1) above).

4) Please remember to add a title and a description of your image and what apps were used. We love to know how you did it.

Last entries before midnight UK time on Saturday 13th August 2022. Judging will take place on Sunday 14th August 2022, or soon thereafter.

Please also see the MobiTog Rules and Guidelines for all MobiChallenges posted HERE. Please note specifically Rule 4: Generally, anything goes in terms of processing, within the bounds of common decency and the Specific Rules for the Challenge or Contest, but entrants must document how they achieved the submitted result in their Challenge or Contest post, i.e. name of the device used to take the image and list each app used, in the order it is used.

This week's winner rizole Rizole will be our guest judge for the above period.

Not many images this week. Do you still want to judge tomorrow rizole Rizole, or shall we extend for a week?

So fewer entries makes judging easier so high fives to me for giving myself an easy time. It's another month before I can call what I have "Long covid" but as I've still not shaken it off yet, I'm all for giving myself an easy time.

I'll get straight on it...3rd this week is Starzee with waiting. Lovely detail and textures on this.

2nd is Geek1956 with Reflection of Bondi beach Hipstamatic. Nice selfie, excellent framing, good tonal range and depth of field. Very nice work.

And our winner this week is sinnerjohn with Through a (wet) glass darkly.

This is one of those..."I wish I'd done that" photos. There's a nice layering on this, all the leading lines point to the figure who is hunched over his own 5 inch point of focus. As a portait/street capture, this would have worked well anyway but the layer of horizontal water adds detail and emotional overtones to the pic, elevating it upwards. Congrats John.

Fur enuff. I’m all for an easy time. But I think John’s image would have won even if there’d been more entries. I love that the head and arms are in focus and then everything else isn’t. Congratulations sinnerjohn John. :notworthy: High fives to Geek1956 Kevin and Starzee Star for second and third respectively. Two great images. Thank you to everyone who did post, but don’t feel guilty if you didn’t. There’s always this week’s challenge. Right, me and John’s wet glass are off to the Gallery. See you there.

Many thanks rizole perhaps not many entries worked in my favour too!
First time in a long time we've not got more than one page.

I took the image last week and thought it was too basic for a regular street shot so took it into Ps Camera that is looked at as a bit of a novelty, but some of the filters do a good job.
Well done Starzee and Geek1956 for 3rd and 2nd, good images both.

Thanks also to the kind words from JillyG Starzee and Geek1956 too.
Long live b/w.
