I'm a member of a Project 365 group on Facebook.

I was getting more and more into the creative side of editing prior to joining this photo group. I like to try and push
myself and think outside of the traditional box so to speak.

This first post is one of my first attempts at taking an everyday photo and editing it outside the box.

I have to admit I am an app junkie but also have my daily all time favs.

Would you mind giving us a little rundown of how you created this and the apps you used? :)

Thank you so much for asking about my first photo upload to this incredible community!

It began as a simple photo of a tea light candle in a holder that is on a wall.

I knew immediately that I needed to do some crazy editing with the photo.

I brought the photo into SnapSeed and did the usual brightness, contrast, white balance and drama adjustments. I knew I wanted a darker feel to the photo.

Once I had the *feeling* of the photo I was going for, I brought the photo into Filtermania2.

This is where it took ages to edit as there are so many filters to choose from.

The photo is a tea light candle and yet I knew I wanted water, rain, and lightning. I was going for some sort of mixed feeling here, a pull of emotions.

Even in the darkness and bleakness there is a light if one looks.

So interesting!! I would never guess that's how it started. You totally accomplished your goal of mixed feelings...it's a wonderful piece.
