Some nice images here: some quite uniquely ‘Australian’. And before sinnerjohn says it, yesyesyes, you have to be a citizen of Au to enter. But any nationality can browse. Besides, I’d hate for anyone to miss out on the image of the emu

If you visited one new Aussie beach everyday it would take you over 27 years to see them all.

Looking at these I do feel I'm just prancing around half awake with half a brain, tripping over a half decent picture once in a while.

I have been reading quite a few photography magazines and I went to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition in London. You have to remember that most of the people who get images like this spend every spare moment doing it. For many it’s their job too.

Personally I could never get that obsessive about one thing. Probably why I have never been an expert at anything - just a jack of all trades but I’m happy with that. I like all the hundred and one interests I have.
