Our Pets: Furred, Feathered or Scaled

Lily
Bischon / Poodle cross. She is more Bischon then our previous one so a bit smaller and chunkier. She can pull Karen in her manual chair without too much trouble. Sometimes really smart and other times you really wonder :)
When weather is this cold, -33 this morning she doesn't waste time outside. Karen put this winter jacket on her but she really dislikes it and she walks funny in it :), hood keeps covering her eyes so she is not fussy about getting it on.

She doesn't mind this one though...

After I made her put these on she figured she needed a treat :)

ADORABLE!!!! Wow, she can pull a chair? Amazing! :notworthy:

Karen's manual chair is not like the ones that the hospitals loan you. Hers is more akin to the specialized racing wheelchairs. Rigid frame (does not fold up) big wheels have about 1.5 degree camber (the wheel are wider at the floor then the top). Wheels can be taken off and axles turned around which double the camber which also makes it easier to turn. Fifteen years ago it was almost $7,000 thankfully we have pretty good insurance here.

Lily is a pretty strong dog though and because she is a bit heavier set and shorter legs she does pretty good.

Lucy sprawled out on the dining table during last summer's heat wave. She's very fluffy so doesn't do well in the heat :)

Maxie Richards - the wild one :)

How comfy does that look ?Lying all contorted on some table mats on a chair. Classic Max !

You can see his funky front paw, has had that from birth. Makes him about 3.5 legged, but it doesn't stop him and boy can he run.
Soooooo luxurious, he is! :D Animals are so much more accepting and resilient than humans, IMO. :notworthy:
