This is the place to celebrate and showcase all of your beautiful black and white images. This is a theme-free zone so, as long as it's black and white, just about anything and everything goes!

The Rules are simple:

1) All images must be taken and edited on a mobile device: a mobile phone, tablet, iPod or iPad.

2) All images must be simply black and white and all of those lovely shades of grey. Beware grunge edits which may add colour. If I notice an image that has a hint of colour I'll let you know so that you can change it and repost. Or I can delete it and you can repost; not a problem.

3) Any app(s) can be used in the making of your image, editing is permitted, but this must be done on a mobile device (see 1) above).

4) Please remember to add a title and a description of your image and what apps were used. We love to know how you did it.

Last entries before midnight UK time on Saturday 1st February 2020 . Judging will take place on Sunday 2nd February 2020 or soon thereafter.

Please also see the MobiTog Rules and Guidelines for all MobiChallenges posted HERE. Please note specifically Rule 4: Generally, anything goes in terms of processing, within the bounds of common decency and the Specific Rules for the Challenge or Contest, but entrants must document how they achieved the submitted result in their Challenge or Contest post, i.e. name of the device used to take the image and list each app used, in the order it is used.

This week's winner terse Ted will be our guest judge for the above period

The photographic values in this are well done!
Don't be upset, Carmel, but for me as a non nativ english speaker it sounds like "hey, you pressed the right button and one can see something sharp on the good exposed shot. That's very well done!" :lmao:
I guess (and hope) I get you wrong!

PS: no, I'm not angry or p..sed! All good! :)

sinnerjohn John, the B&W of the locks image also benefits from the tones and you have fine gradation through out the image. This just as a 2nd note. :)

No I don’t mean certain buttons were pushed the right way :) . I have no comment on how you did it, I was just admiring how it all came together with the composition (that’s done with the camera not editing) with the shine of the lock hasp and the delicate amount of light and the blur.

For me, graffiti photos are my colour playground in editing apps. Not this one: the magic here for me was happening upon this amazing sleeping woman yesterday. I think the arty b&w from iColorama really shows off how well she was painted.

The original b&w created equal clarity across the board. I like how the arty one sends the stairs and houses into background. View attachment 154574
You see to me, this is a much better image, but everyone has their own opinion ;).
I think we often fall into the trap of over editing something that doesn't really need a lot, just because the tools are there. To me the 'artwork' is much more defined in the less edited version. Thank you for sharing that Carmel.

It’s the first time I’ve done an arty thing to a b&w. I do love clarity usually.
