Blimey, just a week? Jumps out at you and goes "Boo!" when you've gotten used to a two week cycle.

Hodge usually has only a passing interest in boxes. He'll investigate them and try them on for size a few times, but then loses interest. However, he will sit on any book, sheet of paper, iPad, or other rectangular object he finds lying around.
Dolly prefers the seat directly in front of the ipad.

28 photos in 1 week (and that was without me posting a dozen or so :lmao: ). Looking good for this round.

First goes to lkbside for "Sea lion." The word for this image is "sleek," though it could just as well be "dramatic" with its noir lighting or "minimalist" with its beautiful simple lines. It's how sea lions see themselves in their dreams.

Second goes to rizole for "Blackstone Edge Pano." The word here is "expansive," perfect for a panorama. For me, the motion goes from the road at lower right, up to the horizon, across to the sun through the clouds, and back across the clouds to be caught by the two hikers. You might be tempted to move forward to that bend in the road so that you could shoot out over the valley, but I think the muddy road with its curve is an important part of the image.

Third goes to jpclicks for "Cherry blossoms in January." The word for this one is "crisp," and the treatment couldn't suit the subject better. Plus I'm a sucker for that tracery of black branches against white snow.

Honorable Mentions go to Geek1956 for Dental Hygiene, to sinnerjohn for Yogi's smile and Sphinx, and to everyone else who made this one week challenge work.

Lovely judging Ted - I love the ”one word” thingy. Super congratulations to lkbside Leslie - Ted summed it up beautifully. It looks like some fabulous ink painting. Well done to rizole Rizole and jpclicks Jeff for second and third respectively. Two beautiful, but very different, black and whites. Snaps to the HMs. And thank you to everyone who posted and commented. The standard of black and whites in this challenge is absolutely amazing.:notworthy: I’m now off to the Gallery with Leslie’s posing sea lion. Now where did I leave that bucket of fish?
