Welcome to the 2nd Image of the Month thread.

Anyone that wishes to make nominations will have 4 picks throughout the month, in this case from today till June 30th.

The only rules will be
1. You cannot nominate your own images.
2. You only have 4 nominations. You don't have to use them up all in one go, please spread them throughout the month.
3. If an image has already been nominated you cannot nominate it again.
4. The image can be from any thread on Mobitog i.e. B/W Challenge, Color Challenge, APPstract or any of the 365's running or members own personal threads.
5. It must have been posted in the current month, in this case June. It doesn't need to have been taken/made in June just posted on Mobitog in June.

IMPORTANT As you nominate an image can you please number the image at the top, just check what number was last and then number accordingly.

If you do nominate any images please try and be around at the beginning of each new month for voting.
YES voting, this will not be judged but voted on by any Mobitog member. More on that later :)

Please keep the chat to a minimum on this thread so we can best view the images and make it easier at the end of the month.
If you have any questions there is another thread titled 'Image of the Month???' If you have any problems copying someone's image to the thread please shout up on the ??? thread or ask a friendly Mod

Finally and I know it all sounds complicated but it might be nice when nominating someone that you comment on the image in the usual way, but put
'This fantastic work has been chosen for The Image of the Month Competition' in the comment.

Voting will commence on the 1st of July.

This is from Jilly's 366, just love the fact that it was taken hand held and with the regular camera, so much detail. I'm a mobile phone purist, the thought of lugging around 'gear' for a phone just brings me out in a rash  Here's a great example of an image 'on the fly' ;)

In deed, sinnerjohn John! Gear is in contradiction to mobility. Even though I bought some lenses and gear is just small it's still different.
For that I normally use my Pana LX100 - but that's not a phone! :D

Great choice! I’m with you on the “gear”. I have a couple of macro lens I never even bring with me, even though I love the macro images.

I’m different there. I almost never go out without the little Moment macro lens in my bag. The problem with lockdown is that I now go walking everywhere with my DH which is brilliant because I feel safer venturing into all the woods around here and have done some great exploring but I can’t stop as much to take photos because he just keeps on walking!

#8 Bubble Bonus

From ubbyisis Eva’s 365

So much to love in this image! That light in L background, all the way on the diagonal to spill on to the wood on the verandah behind Linus. The sharpness and the palette. Those three perfect bubbles. The fabulous capture of Linus’ face in the bubble!

And of course in an image like this, the facial expression of the subject is going to determine how we read it. I have tried, can’t find a word that works for me. But whateveritis makes the image beautifully whimsical. Made my day :inlove:

I don’t know how many times the same person can be nominated, but I loved the simplicity of this photo. I love photos like this, that make you feel like getting in the image, taking a seat and enjoying the atmosphere. That’s what I felt when I saw this photo :) Beautiful tones too
