My phone must’ve updated somehow (and against my will) because Union 1)opened up as a ‘new’ app and 2) would not let me save without a subscription. I’m so sad. I’ve used Union just about every single day since I got it when I got my first iPad. I’ve deleted it from my phone and *sigh* just a matter of time before I delete it from my iPad. And start using Superimpose, which has way better functionality and is still purchase-only.
It’s the end of an era. :(
It hasn’t happened yet on my iPad Pro but it must just be a matter of time. I still have my old mini on iOS 10 - much more battery life than my sister’s on 12. Wonder how much longer it will live.

This is weird! I’m on 12.3.1 on the XsMax and just updated Union a couple of days ago. Still working fine and also saving without any begging for subscription. o_O But with every updating it might come closer …

No, I don’t think so. It’s only Union Pro that is subscription.

Summer for us starts and ends with the Nostalgia Drags at South Butler. They are the last Sunday of every month, June-September. We have friends in their 70’s who raced there when they were in high school. No prizes (or pink slips), you race for prestige and fun. No cars manufactured after 1988 allowed. Not so much true for the engines.

I've been away for 3 days in Vermont with no cell service at the house I stayed in.... I'm back and realizing it's time for terse Ted to wrap up this week's Summertime thread! Whenever you're ready, Ted... I know it's still early in your neck of the woods. :)

I grew up in Sacramento, in the middle of California's Central Valley, where summer meant cloudless skies, frequent 100 degree (F) temps, the smell of water on hot pavement, balmy nights, and shirtsleeve weather at midnight. It also meant lots of time spent on tennis courts (playing in club matches or providing cannon fodder in tournaments), watching oval track races (sprint cars and super-modifieds) on the local junior college track on weekends, and the smell of chlorinated swimming pools. Some of this week's photos brought back those moments, while others conjured up whole different worlds of summer that I'd never seen.

First is Coronation80's "Water Water." Much as I like his four-legged swimmer, this photo with its hot colors and film of water says "summer" to me. Nice composition, too.

Second is Starzee's "Butterflies," a lovely close-up of summer in the garden. And how long did you have to wait to get the butterflies color-coordinated with the flowers?

Third is a tie between rizole's "Sheepish" and MsDee's "Sunset at the Intracoastal" -- wonderful sunset images. (I don't know why sunsets make me think of summer rather than winter, but they do.)
