Is it a hibiscus? Lots of different varieties around here - gorgeous flowers. I always thought of them as hot weather flowers: but Lzed posts lovely hibiscus images from his frozen tundra o_O
Yes, it is. First time I saw one was some 40 years ago and they were only orange. Later also white. And since they are kinda purple I love them even more. :D

Sunday has come once again, and quickly! It’s a gross hot, humid one here :barf: I hope ImageArt Ann’s is cooler, but if not then sitting inside under a fan sipping a cold beverage might help in choosing her faves this week. :D
Not so hot here but a nice day. Going to play a couple of holes on the golf course a little later.

Well, it’s hard for me to resist any nature pics with birds but I have to say that the bird images were the stand out images for me this week. I struggled to choose between two images that for me had a big impact.

FIRST: terse Ted, I feel you have an unfair advantage with all the wonderful egrets you have around you but you still have to get a good pic and the two egret pics you posted together were just beautiful as was the silhouette of the four egrets which my DH loved. Here’s one:

SECOND: sinnerjohn John, a very close second. Such a sad image but so striking and a brilliant angle. Love the composition, detail and blur.

Says the lady who vacations with elephants :lmao:

Thank you for the first. It was a great week of photos, and I'm honored you chose mine. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: (That one you linked to is my personal fave.) Congrats to John, Jeffrey, and Brian as well.

No theme for the coming week. Let's see your best stuff -- abstract or street, indoors or out, minimal or baroque, dark or light, muted or psychedelic -- as long as it's in color.

Congrats Ted, if I was a betting man my money would have been on you and one of your birds!
Many thanks for the 2nd Ann, that did surprise me :notworthy:
High fives to dscheff and FundyBrian

Congrats to terse for the lovely egrets, and sinnerjohn who reminded us that death is part of the circle of life. Congrats also to dscheff and thanks for my HM. See you all in the next one.
