Did you also go to what they call the House of Julia Felix? That sounds like such an intriguing story, but I've never seen pictures from inside.

The short answer is no.
Pompeii covers such a large area and a third is still not excavated. I think we bypassed Julia's house for the amphitheatre as they are both on the far side. The heat was pretty intense for a Brit and there's not a lot of shade. I'd definitely go again sometime. We never got to Herculaneum either which is supposed to be better preserved but smaller.

Congratulations, Leslie.The texture is amazing; I can feel all those paint dots when I run my hand over your photo. Kudos to Catherine and all the HM's.

It is pretty interesting that the texture comes through.
