Yes, I can understand your love of the magnificent redwoods, but we don’t get to see those very often. Just sometimes in arboretums.

Nope, it’s oaks for me.

I like oak, the bark is almost silvery, especially on saplings. Ash grow tall and straight and are good for making tall, straight things but Hawthorn is a lovely wood, it's hard and dense and polishes up right nice.
