Nope, just random Halloween togs.Put me out of my misery. Is there a theme to their costumery?
I would love to see a redwood in person.
They're impressive. The entrance to the paths at Henry Cowell Redwoods (near us) has a slice from the base of a giant, with tags identifying rings that go back to the BCE times.I would love to see a redwood in person.
They are awe-inspiring. ❤️I would love to see a redwood in person.
What a great capture!
Do they surf year round?
Absolutely. The water is cold here, even in the summer, so everyone wears a wetsuit all the time. Winter storms affect the waves, sometimes bringing big ones, sometimes choppy and messy ones, but that doesn't keep anyone home.Do they surf year round?
I’m still getting used to the Pacific, after having the warm Atlantic as my ocean for so long.Absolutely. The water is cold here, even in the summer, so everyone wears a wetsuit all the time. The most common sound on the beaches here is a screech as someone hits the water.I’m still getting used to the Pacific, after having the warm Atlantic as my ocean for so long.
I find this mind boggling. Being surrounded by mere lakes I have always imagined the Atlantic and Pacific the opposite of that.I’m still getting used to the Pacific, after having the warm Atlantic as my ocean for so long.
Seems like it should be that way to me, too. But the west coast is swept by cold water coming down from the north, while the east coast gets warmer water coming up from the south.I have always imagined the Atlantic and Pacific the opposite of that.
My experience with oceans is very limited, anyway. What I’m sure of is, every time I go in it, it knocks me down. This has made me very timid around them. I prefer my lakes. Much more reasonably wavy.Seems like it should be that way to me, too. I love this. Were you crawling about the shoes?Jumble sale.

My thoughts exactly… it’s a great image to have in my head of rizole.I love this. Were you crawling about the shoes?
LOL! I am VERY cautious and respectful of the ocean, and never go in above my knees. Partly because I don’t swim, but mostly because she is fierce and demands respect. I’m in awe of people who just wander in and swim around or surf.My experience with oceans is very limited, anyway. What I’m sure of is, every time I go in it, it knocks me down.
