Thank you. I think that gold confetti look is at least partly an artifact of the camera. I was quite surprised when I saw it on my Camera Roll after I got home. And I probably wouldn't be able to do it again if I wanted to.a beauty !

Among the redwoods at Henry Cowell. This burnt-out stump is around 20 feet tall.
OMG... I want to go there!!!! ❤️ ❤️Looks like our Giant Tingle Trees. That link shows the Queen of our Tingle Forest, home of our world-famous beautifully architectured treetop walk.
This looks like the basis for a great portrait; I wonder what happened. I love the little group of maple-esque leaves on the ledge. Well seen Ted.
Awww.....makes me sad.......
We need zenjenny Jen to explain why I instantly felt love for it the moment I saw it! Must be something that happened in my childhood.
Lovely.
Very nice tree, I particularly like the rather angry looking ornament in the blue jacket near the centre.View attachment 152811
We have several boxes of standard round ornaments, but somehow they never make it onto the tree.
That is one beautiful tree. What does Hodge think of it?View attachment 152811

So far, he's been quite blasé -- gave it a few sniffs when it first arrived and has ignored it since. I think he feels the ornaments are no fun because there's so much yelling if he starts to play with them. That is one beautiful tree. What does Hodge think of it?
Beautiful! Yes, the round balls are "filler/fluff" for me too. I love all the eclectic ornaments.View attachment 152811

These are just gorgeous... look at his feet!! If I had to choose I'd pick the first image.
I can’t choose either. The first pose is more “natural”, I guess is the word. Unposed? But the steady gaze right at the camera in the second is very engaging.
