The birds ate my breadcrumb trail, but I think that was the result of applying Style/Lighten/1 in iColorama and then toning it down by reducing the opacity. What a great effect. I love the “glow” on the black and white version.

Loooove the B&W version...Two other versions of the camera-motion image I posted in the b/w challenge. Same process: Slow Shutter Cam with camera motion plus messing about in iColorama.

Wow. The image together with the poem (shanty?) are stunning. The lighthouse
(A result of me trying to figure out how to do an impressionist image. Still lost in the swamp.)
Mainly a combo of Affinity Photo (for its blur effects), Mextures, and iColorama (some effects and lighting)

My father was the keeper of the Eddystone light
And he slept with a mermaid one fine night
Out of this union there came three
A porpoise and a porgy and the other was me!
Yo ho ho, the wind blows free,
Oh for the life on the rolling sea!
One night, as I was a-trimming the glim
Singing a verse from the evening hymn
I head a voice cry out an "Ahoy!"
And there was my mother, sitting on a buoy.
Yo ho ho, the wind blows free,
Oh for the life on the rolling sea!
"Oh, what has become of my children three?"
My mother then inquired of me.
One's on exhibit as a talking fish
The other was served in a chafing dish.
Yo ho ho, the wind blows free,
Oh for the life on the rolling sea!
Then the phosphorus flashed in her seaweed hair.
I looked again, and my mother wasn't there
But her voice came angrily out of the night
"To Hell with the keeper of the Eddystone Light!"
Yo ho ho, the wind blows free,
Oh for the life on the rolling sea!
I’m not sure which I like better, image (you’re on solid ground with your impressonism) or the poem! The lighthouse

It looks like one is feeding the other. That iridescent plumage is gorgeous.
The phone did a good job of capturing that this time. It was definitely a tussle -- they were locked together writhing all over the yard. Maybe one had found a choice bit the other one wanted? Or the other decided it wanted to eat the first one's head? That iridescent plumage is gorgeous.
That’s a beautiful daffodil. What an unusual colour.
Isn't it? It popped up in the midst of the standard ones, all by itself. That’s a beautiful daffodil. What an unusual colour.
You could market that daffodil, if you knew how it happened.Isn't it? It popped up in the midst of the standard ones, all by itself.
I particularly like this one, very mysterious.View attachment 155592

Thanks, I think that's the most successful one, too. Still in the early days of learning/experimenting with the techniques. At the moment, I'm trying to manage even a pale shadow of this guy:I particularly like this one, very mysterious.
Oh, fighting! I thought it put new meaning into the word French kiss!

Yes! But that looks like two adults? It looks like one is feeding the other.
I thought the same... didn’t realize they had these colors. That iridescent plumage is gorgeous.
Already? We’ve got some cherry blossom out, but I don’t think we’ve got any proper fruit blossom yet.
