Day 246 - September 3rd - Harvest

DH got the basket full in just 15 minutes. Kind of destroys the fun excitement. No hunting, just go out and collect them. Anyhow - there’s a wonderful scent from the dehydrator. Boletus edulis - the king of boleti

Wow, what a haul! Looks like someone got there before you though - or something - judging by the nibbles.

Day 247 - September 4th - Old fir tree with a bird house that got occupied by squirrels and now by wasps

Must be a popular building up there in our oldest fir tree in a corner of our garden

Day 248 - September 5th - Smiling mushrooms :D:inlove:

The cutest little mushrooms I’ve ever seen. Look at their shy smiles :) I don’t think you even have to have a “paredolia moment”. These faces are real:cool:

Day 250 - September 7th - At least they had a happy life :D ;)

Death occurred today. Shaggy ink caps don’t have a long life. But the mycelium is still alive and will be for many years to come.

Yesterday - still smiling

Day 251 - September 8th - Indian summer sky

22 degrees here today which is high for September. But a strong wind from the west and a very dramatic sky made it feel more creepy than nice

Day 252 - September 9th - Not such a perfect day :alien:

Another day with summer temps and bright sunshine. Unfortunately my body decided it was a bad health day so I’ve felt like this:

I would have preferred this mood:

Day 253 - September 10th - Needed some help

Almost every day we find dead animals on the road out here. Snakes, frogs, grasshoppers, birds etc. So much traffic nowadays. The first years we lived here there were some cars passing by early mornings and afternoons. Now carss and trucks all the time. This beautiful beetle was crossing the road peacefully. We lifted it up and put it down in the grass. Let’s hope it stayed there.

got a friend with him too! ive just rescued a big Wolf spider from the floor in the library. Bugger comes in every week and sits in the same place, just waiting to be trodden on. luckily, he's big enough to be spotted at a distance!

Day 255 - September 12th - Lookalikes :D

I was taking photos of our marigolds in different development stages. When I saw this particular one I immediately came to think of the fox skull we found last spring. Marigold is edited with iColorama mostly. Already forgot. Did the edit in the car this morning. Fox skull shot with extra light from my new gadget NanLite LitoLite 5C and then edited in Photoroom

The marigold looks more savage than the actual fox.

Wow, they do look similar. Definitely fodder for a double exposure.

Day 256 - September 13th - Happy Monday  :)

What a great start of the new week. I got up at 4:30 and got some bureaucracy done. At 7 I entered the health centre to get some blood test. Back home I took a long walk and at 11 it was finally time to visit my hair dresser. First hair cut since September last year  Feels great with no hair in the eyes and over the ears:thumbs: Now we’re getting ready for another drive to town. We’re going to visit.Linus. Espresso and raspberries and whipped cream is packed. I guess I will fall asleep in the car:D
