Mobi366 Ubbyisis’ Project 366 - 2020

Day 70 - March 10th - Like walking in the desert

I just can’t help longing back to the time when we had the forest as our closest neighbour. This photo is taken about 200 metres from our house. In springtime we enjoyed all the flowers that grew under the old pine and fir trees. And in the autumn we collected tons of mushrooms. Now it’s just like a windy moonscape.

It still looks beautiful to me, but then I don’t live there nor remember how it was before. Such a shame. Is this all up for sale for housing?

Day 71 - March 11th - I’m an overdoer, that’s for sure ;)

I thought this could match JillyG :s handprint and sdimbour :s footprints :D I’ve been to a foot specialist and as I suspected my feet don’t have any natural cushioning left. An effect of my neuropathy and, perhaps even more, of my obsession for long walks. They will make special insoles. I hope it will help. Quite expensive - could have bought two more pairs of cool sneakers for that sum :D

Shot with DH:s iPhone 6s plus - we are in this as a team. Edited by me of course :sunglasses: Snapseed, Toon camera, Touch Retouch and iColorama

I was wondering how you managed to be facing forwards and still get a shot of the back of your feet. Is that some sort of plaster cast in the second image?

Wow, that’s a tall one. Ours seem to spread out more, rather than go upwards.
True. This is not a typical oak. I just read that oaks that grow close to lots of other trees can grow more upwards. And this one had a lot of “neighbours” until a couple of years ago. Thanks for the interesting remark, which gave me the opportunity to learn a little bit more

Day 73 - March 13th - Focusing on the good things in life

In these dystopian days it’s hard to get those feel-good-moments. But finding this crocus under a juniper shrub right now gave me a warm feeling.

Yes, we have to take pleasure in small things when we can. This is lovely.

Day 74 - March 14th - All he wants to do is bubbling :sunglasses:

Sunny but cold day here. We suggested that we should take a family walk but Linus shooked is head and took a firm grip on his bubble bottle :D

It warms my heart. On Thursday I was trimming a pot that I’d made on Tuesday and, ordinarily, the clay would be perfect for trimming on a Thursday. But for some reason it was really hard and I was having real trouble trimming it. It was flying off the wheel head and my trimming tool was taking great gouges out of the pot bottom. I was saying out loud that it was really difficult to work on because it was hard and a little voice came down from upstairs from Andrew, a truly lovely young man who has Downs Syndrome. “Why don’t you spray it with water Jill?”. Genius. I sprayed the pot and it worked perfectly. Andrew paints beautiful abstract paintings. I’ll take a photo next time I’m in the studio. He comes in with Emily (who also has Downs) who makes and decorates super pieces of pottery. The pottery studio is a wonderful mix of human beings and has a really great inclusive vibe.

Thanks - now your story warms MY heart :inlove:

Day 75 - March 15th - Men at work :sunglasses:

We’re trying to help Linus to forget his disappointment. We should have been in Stockholm for a visit at my brother‘s today, but we changed our plans because of the C thing. Impossible for Linus to understand abstract matters. Right now both my men are happy working though :inlove:

There’s nothing like a bit of wood splitting to take a man’s mind off things. You can’t risk catching the virus with all of your problems, so you’re very wise.
