Weird symbol in predictive text

So I noticed in a couple posts on Facebook that every time I posted “I” this would show up: I️

I thought it was a glitch in Facebook. But no, it’s a glitch in my iPhone!

So now every time I type “I”, I have to CHOOSE it otherwise “I️” gets typed.

It is beyond infuriating.

The latest iOS update (11.1.1) is supposed to fix this. (I didn't get hit with it myself.)

Aha!! I didn’t know there was an update... I never get the red circle notification any more. Updating now!
