It was my favourite book as a teenager yet I haven’t really got into fantasy tv/movies much. Books yes. Maybe it’s because the DH can’t stand it so it all passes me by.

Try 'The Kraken Wakes' or 'Midwich Cuckoos' by Wyndham too. The latter is a very good tv series on Sky

You know, I haven’t read it but I understand it’s even better than Day of the Triffids. It’s just a bit ‘more real’ and I think I would find it too disturbing now. Strangely enough I think I would have been less disturbed by it in my teens.

Might just be shoddy workmanship! Its probably from around 1700's. Back of an old farm cottage
