Early days yet but after looking around here I got this app as it seems to be well liked. I love Instagram - grab the iPhone take a pic choose a filter and share - fast smooth and simple. Not sure about Hipstagram yet for me there is not the spontaneity, choose your lens, choose your film, flash or no flash and hope for the best. I feel I have no control over the final result.

I AM a fan if Hipstamatic but do agree you have to work at it, however, for me the results are worth it and even the occasional googly the app surprises you with I adore!

It is, as you rightly suggest, an entirely different approach to Instagram which is totally point and shoot and ask questions later...

They each have their own uniqueness and followers, I like them both, but not in equal measure...
