B&W RESULT:#69 Black & White Challenge

The Easter Bunny has just hopped in to remind me to close this Black and White Challenge. Well, it is now Closed. Whilst I go off to make myself queasy eating too much chocolate, it’s justntym Kevin’s task to choose his favourites. No rush though Kevin, it’s Easter so you take your time.

Hey Guys..sorry for the delay...Easter and all...There were some very strong images and as always opinions are sop subjective. My favorite image was bedknob by JillyG. What I love about this, is this could have been an incredibly mundane ordinary object. The lighting, the textured fragments of peeling and aging paint make this a very compelling image.

This such a multi-dimensional image, and I love the touch of emotion it evokes.

I felt this was the strongest composition. Reminded of the Robert Frost poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.

A street in Italy by Lynn.Peterson

I am a huge fan of old italian films of the neorealism era. This photo reminded of the movie Bicycle Thieves

Part of an enjoyable photo for me is not just beauty we immediately see, but the mystery and sometimes questions that make us think. This image has so much detail in the two visible structures, that your eye is forced to pay more attention.

Well done Kevin. Did you have to tear yourself away from the chocolate? A great piece of judging if I may say so . It’s always lovely to have the judge’s thoughts on his or her favourites. I am so surprised and delighted that you liked my image. Slaps on the back to Robert, Pema, Lynne and Star - those were wonderful images. And thanks to everyone who made Kevin’s job a bit difficult. It was a great week for entries. Okay, me and my bedknob have a date in the Gallery. :D
