Once I discarded my own images, I was left with 20. I managed to pare that down to five, but after that, things got tough. If I hadn't used up my nominations for Image of the Month already, I'd nominate all of these.

sdimbour for "Awe," a wonderful juxtaposition that sets off its subject with an intense black surround.

chineezguy for the glowing dogs on the couch, a beautifully soft and luminous image that again sets off its subject with intense black.
Third goes to
Starzee for "In the light," a lovely counterpoint to the first two images with its background flooded with light, setting off the dark subject.
