Sugar Cane Sunset

At this time of the year the sugar cane flowers, signing a time for harvest. When the sun sets the white flowers light up like a blaze across the fields. Unfortunately they rarely burn the cane before harvest these days, the fires were really something.

Hi Jilly, it's actually a two images blended in DXP. I wanted to dirty up the foreground with silhouetted cane flowers. Here's the original.

The original is amazing on its own, but add the cane flowers and it takes it into calendar country (a good thing!). Lovely. Thanks for the info on the processing - it's great to see how the final image has been achieved.
 
A stonking image Aaron... :thumbs: ...one would not know the first is two images blended, an immense job sir and a fitting re-kick-start to your MobiTog offerings, love it... :D

And even the first nekkid image is pretty damn fine in its own right... :cool:

Cheers Mate, great to be back. This image ended up on Flickr Explore, it was pretty exciting to get my 15 minutes of Flickr Fame. Thanks for providing this warm friendly space.
