Beautiful sweep of the shoreline. Those dark things jutting out into the water, are they to keep the sand from migrating along the coast?

I've seen something similar on the Jersey coast (they look like metal pipes)...didn't know that's what they're for! [emoji1360]

I think you're right Ted. Chine is something to do with erosion by water, usually rivers.
