I like them both, and I'm impressed by the way you tamed Decim8 in the first one.
Thanks, Ted. I do not use DECIM8 that often, as all the possibilities and variations can be overwhelming. However, I have learned that blends such as Screen and Plus Lighter can remove some /all of the busyness.

Toby and Max are here for 2 weeks, the first sans parents. It’s 9 PM and I’m wiped. It’s not been helping that the temperature has been in the mid to high 90s (35ish °C) and very humid. All I managed was a pic after breakfast. The plates were the kind my kids drew on special paper with markers and we mailed them off to a company that transferred the drawings into plastic plates.
