Is that really a (an?) hotel? It took me a while to work it out (at least I think I've worked it out ). Amazing image.

This is indeed a hotel. The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is located in downtown Atlanta. It is a popular spot for conventions. This is the atrium and the two rows running up the middle are the elevators.
