John, Mr I Don’t Do Abstracts, you said elsewhere that, okay, you like ‘found abstracts’ - like these two beautiful examples. You just don’t like (or Do) the apped [‘artificial’?
] variety. Right. Well I’m here to tell you, John, that once you take that step - that first little step that might seem so . . . insignificant — away from visual verisimilitude, the Way Things Really Are — well, it’s just a slippery slope from there. One minute it’s pure unadulterated concrete pavement, the next you’ll be shoving our GroovyGouvy out the way to photograph Titania and Oberon dancing in the cracks.
