This is quite disturbing to me. But I really like it. There's a sense of ... I'm not sure what the word is ... hopelessness maybe.
I love both examples of this image. I think a third, colour splash with the leaves, would also be great.

This is wonderful, Jilly says disturbing and I get that, but its what makes the image great, maybe unsettling would be a better word. You look like you're in some drug riddled favela in south america.

And I am especially intrigued by your avatar. The motto and the bus are right up my alley (I am trying to live a simpler life, and my goal is to live in a Tiny House on Wheels

I have, either correctly or totally incorrectly, deduced this by a) Palm trees in photo, b) general look of the neighborhood, c) VW bus on your avatar. The only thing not fitting in with my equation is your use of the term "rubbish bin", which sounds decidedly English to me.... hmmmmmm......

Currently a resident of Florida... oooooother side/coast
. "rubbish bin" / "trash can" / "waste basket" and the list goes on... but where I grew up (South Africa) it is decidedly a "rubbish bin on wheels"

'Rubbish bin' had me wondering if you were in Australia (with me) but the palm trees were wrong for the streets in the suburbs that have palm trees
