The Words of the Photographs

"... into that world inverted"
View attachment 92114
ProCamera, Distressed FX (Surreal, Deep Space), Over (Nexa)

From the poem "Insomnia"
from the North American poet Elizabeth Bishop (1911-1979)

"(...) into that world inverted
where the left is always right,
where the shadows are really the body,
where we stay awake all night,
where the heavens are shallow as the sea
is now deep, and you love me."

"One" is a song written by Harry Nilsson (1968) and made famous by Three Dog Night (1969)

Also made famous thankyouverymuch by the Extremely Well Known Johnny Farnham - also famous for such glorious works as 'Sadie, the cleaning lady' and 'Raindrops keep falling on my Head'

These are beautiful, Rodolfo - same as my version but different.

(And for a while there -- i.e. Before I started ageing less -- i made quite a habit of falling madly in love on the dance floor )

Thanks Lisa. I will be very happy and grateful if you allow me to share with you: Please send me an image and your interpretation. Or just the image and I propose my interpretation. Or, a combination :)

I don't want to hijack Glenton Rodolfo's lovely thread, but I wondered if anyone would like to take a part of this song and put an image to it? I found the lyrics when I was looking for words to go with a photo of someone walking along a path (I'll post that later).

Rodolfo, let me know if you would like me to remove this. I don't want to ruin your thread.

I Walk Alone Lyrics, by Green Day

I walk a lonely road.
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line of the edge
And where I walk alone

Read between the lines of what's
Messed up and everything's all right
Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive
And I walk alone

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there would find me
'Til then I'll walk alone....

  :mobibabe: Put the lime in the coconut . . .

*cough*

"Jeremiah was a bullfrog . . . " (I was 12 o_O)
Wow... that's a blast from the past. I loved both of these songs. :D

...Jump Into the Fire is another one. I'm downloading these now as I can't believe they're not in my iTunes.
