Wakeup call for privacy

I recently subscribed to a newsletter about privacy and ad tracking from DuckDuckGo. In the latest issue it said that ad tracking and the type of sites you visit affects the prices you are quoted for many things online. So for instance if your ad tracking shows you tend to frequent higher end products, accommodations, trips, etc., then the prices you will be quoted will be higher than someone sitting beside you on another computer with a different tracking history. Creepy.
